Kansas City, we are absolutely blown away. Over the last five days, we experienced the most incredible, record-breaking adoption event in KC Pet Project history. Thanks to you—our amazing community—we placed 294 dogs into loving homes. That’s nearly 300 lives saved in just five days!
You showed up in ways we’ve never seen before. We had 727 visitors come through our doors at the main shelter—almost an entire month’s worth of visitors in less than a week. Our social media shares soared past 10,000, news stations across the city helped spread the word, and our website traffic increased by an unbelievable 534%, even crashing at one point from the surge of support!
While we celebrated these incredible adoptions, our work never stopped. In the same five days, we also took in over 100 more dogs who needed our help. This is the never-ending cycle of animal sheltering, and we remain committed to serving Kansas City’s pets and people every single day.
