KC Pet Project is honored to be partnering with Fox 4 for their Founders Day of Caring in 2022. Your donation to KC Pet Project will provide food, medicine, and care to the 15,000 pets that the shelter will take in during the year. We thank you for your support of Kansas City’s pets.
Your support will enable KC Pet Project to provide:
$250 – Five spay/neuter surgeries for pets at the shelter.
$100 – Four cans of formula to feed baby kittens or puppies.
$50 – Four cases of canned food for dogs or cats.
$25 – Vaccinations and a microchip for one pet in our care.

Our locations are FULL of amazing pets looking for homes, so this weekend, we’re hosting our Father’s Day Adoption Special with $30 pet adoptions! KC Pet Project continues to see record numbers of pets coming into our shelter, which means that we have hundreds of dogs and cats that are waiting to be adopted. Dogs that are 30 pounds or more and adult cats all qualify for the special pricing at our KC Campus for Animal Care, Zona Rosa Adoption Center, Petco Adoption Center at 95th and Quivira (cats only), and pets in foster homes. The special will start on Thursday, June 16th and run through Sunday, June 19th.

As Kansas City’s nonprofit, municipal animal shelter, we have many ways that you can get involved with our organization.
On average, 40-50 new pets come in to our shelter every day. We always have a selection of wonderful dogs, cats, rabbits, and other pets looking for new homes. Visit one of our 14 locations to adopt and download our free mobile app to see all our adoptables. Don’t forget about our available pets living in foster homes too!
KC Pet Project is always seeking foster families to provide care for the pets at their shelter. The biggest need currently is for large, adult dogs, but there are fostering opportunities for kittens, adult cats, other types of pets, and so much more.
