Foster a Pet. Save a Life!
From Friday, August 25th through Sunday, August 27th, KC Pet Project is hosting an event at the KC Campus for Animal Care in an effort to move 50 dogs into foster homes. If you have been interested in fostering and have been wanting to learn more about what it is like to foster a dog, this is the perfect event to come to, and you will not need to make an appointment. There will be giveaways to anyone who takes a dog home to foster.
We will be hosting foster info-sessions and orientations every two hours on Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August 26th at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, and 6:00pm. On Sunday, August 27th, we’ll host info-sessions at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm. This event will take place at the KC Campus for Animal Care at 7077 Elmwood Avenue in Kansas City, MO. You can fill out the Dog Foster Signup ahead of time to save time. You do not need to bring your owned dog(s) to the info-session. If you attend the session and would like to foster a shelter dog, you can bring in your own dog(s) after the session, and KC Pet Project staff will facilitate an introduction.
To prepare for this event, we need supplies to help our foster families care for our pets. We need large and XL wire kennels/crates (42″ and 48″), food and water bowls, and new or gently used leashes. These items are also listed on our Amazon Wish List and if you have a crate that you would like to donate, they can be dropped off at any of our locations.
