Jaime Gomez joined the KC Pet Project in October of 2022. He comes from an animal wellness background, starting with Animal Control with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, where he first found his passion working with pets and people in the community. After working as an Animal Control Officer, Jaime continued his career path in animal welfare and joined a pet outreach team with another Kansas City, Missouri, animal welfare organization. Jaime has spent several years working with pet families in our community and is excited to help KC Pet Project launch and grow our Pets for Life Program.
Pets for Life is a nationally recognized program that has served communities across the United States for more than a decade. Thanks to The Humane Society of the United States, we now have Pets for Life in Kansas City, Missouri!
Pets for Life (PFL) is driven by social justice and guided by the philosophy that a deep connection with pets transcends socio-economic, racial and geographic boundaries, and no one should be denied the opportunity to experience the benefits, joy and comfort that come from the human-animal bond.
As KC Pet Project’s Pets for Life Coordinator, Jaime gets to share his passion for supporting pet families by working directly with community members to ensure they have the tools and resources necessary for their pets.
Jaime shares his life with his son, Jordan, and their tripod pup, Tails. Is his free time, Jaime enjoys driving around the city to try and find scenic views and enjoys nature.
