Tara McNamara joined the KC City Pet Project team in June of 2021 as a Pet Support Specialist and became the organization’s Keep ‘Em Together Case Manager in September of 2022.
Tara is excited to bring their experience in social services and in counseling psychology to support pet families in our community. Tara received both their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. Tara’s previous professional experience includes serving as a Family Support Specialist and Adoption Recruiter for Cornerstones of Care.
When not working, Tara enjoys spending time with their family and two cats. She enjoys reading, watching tv, sports, and starting the occasional craft project.
