Bio Writing Tips for your Foster

How to Schedule Your Pet for Adoption:

After your kitten reaches 2 pounds, you’ll schedule them for a vaccine appointment. At your appointment we will schedule your foster kitten’s surgery appointment and discuss post-surgery adoption possibilities!

How to Select Cats to Foster:

Every day a post is made on the KC Pet Project Cat Foster Facebook group that lists the kittens that need foster for that day. We prioritize getting the kittens out of the shelter as quickly as possible, so will generally send kittens with the first person who is able to take them that day. We also have a weekly post for adult cats in the shelter who we’re looking for foster homes for; these are typically cats who require some special care or who just need a break from shelter life while they await adoption.

How to Report any Medical Issues:

For non-urgent medical concerns you can submit a form directly to our veterinary clinic. The clinic will monitor and respond to the form submissions during operating hours. For life threatening emergencies we ask that you call our clinic during normal business hours and have a separate number for emergencies that occur after hours. Please refer to your foster manual for more information.
