Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer
Supervises: Customer Services and Adoptions Team
KCPP is looking for a dynamic, highly organized, outgoing and customer-focused individual at our main shelter to be our Manager of Customer Services & Pet Adoptions.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating an atmosphere of customer service excellence as our organization’s front line representatives, as well as establishing and implementing a robust training program for adoptions counselors that include behavior & training advice for adopters, donation solicitations, meeting retail sales goals, nutrition information, and medical information.
You will train your staff and assist staff members with pet adoptions, answering phone calls and emails, and ensuring that overall daily opening and closing procedures are completed thoroughly and timely. You will be responsible for ensuring the team’s accuracy and timeliness in daily transaction balancing, KCMO licensing reports, surgery and vet clinic appointment scheduling, and more.
You should be adept at handling difficult customers and difficult conversations. You should be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes very stressful environment. You will participate in weekly meetings as a member of our KCPP Leadership Team, setting goals and objectives for your team and reporting on Key Performance Indicators established. You’ll work collaboratively with other managers across the organization and lead your team by example.
This is an exempt position and requires a commitment of a minimum of 40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
